Best eats in Nambucca Heads
Recently we spent some time in the sleepy, coastal town of Nambucca Heads. Here are the top 3 places to eat.
Matilda's
This aesthetically themed pink and white cottage on Wellington drive is your go to for arvo wines, pizzas and fancy oysters straight from the Nambucca River. If you are planning to eat in, you will be greeted with very friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere and a toasty fire pit for those cold winter nights. Take-away is made easy with a user-friendly website allowing you to view the menu and even place orders.
Although they modestly describe their pizzas as "decent" we think they are underselling themselves. The Italian style pizzas are thin and paired with fresh, high quality ingredients. We feasted on a classic Prosciutto and the unique "Moo-shroom" beef and mushroom pizza. Whilst they were on the pricier side, we firmly believe this local establishment deserves your business.
V Wall Pavilion
The Pav, affectionately known as the "Laid Back Local", sits right on the iconic V Wall in Nambucca Heads boasting beautiful River, Ocean and Sunset views.
We kicked back and watched the sun set over the water with drinks and an oyster entree. As for the mains, the Karaage Japanese Chicken Burger, Black Angus Beef Burger and Home-made Indian-inspired Chicken Curry were delicious and all sourced locally!

Earthbound Bowra Café
Located on the main street, you can sip on your coffees and peruse the extensive all day breakfast menu knowing you are supporting ethical and sustainable practices. Suitable options for vegans, vegetarians and also those who enjoy bacon.
The Earthbound Bowra Cafe is clearly a community favourite, drawing in families, friends, and puppies. While waiting for our lunch, the inviting selection of cabinet food tempted us into a caramel slice.
